History
In 2010, United Way Metro Chicago expanded its longtime commitment to Chicagoland and established the United Way Metro Chicago Impact Fund with the Robert R. McCormick Foundation.
The McCormick Foundation matches all donations to the Impact Fund at fifty cents on the dollar. With the United Way and the Foundation paying all campaign and administrative expenses, one hundred percent of all donations, plus the match is granted to qualified nonprofit organizations.
All organizations undergo a thorough screening during the grant application process to ensure that only high-quality programs with proven results receive funding.
Since inception, more than $23 million in grants has been distributed through the Impact Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund improving the lives of those in need and transforming the community.
