In 1992, WGN Radio expanded its long-term commitment to helping at-risk kids in Chicagoland and partnered with the Robert R. McCormick Foundation to establish the WGN Radio Neediest Kids Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund.

The WGN Radio Neediest Kids Fund is committed to helping disadvantaged children in our community. With the generous support of donors and matching funds provided by the McCormick Foundation, grants are made to qualified nonprofit organizations with programs that concentrate on child and youth education and childhood hunger.

Since inception, nearly $19 million has been granted through the WGN Radio Neediest Kids fund, making a positive impact in the lives of young people every year.
