Guidelines
Grants are made through Newsday Charities in response to applications from 501(c)3 organizations located in Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island. Newsday Charities' focus is on programs (with strong measurable outcomes) that are geared toward the overall mission of alleviating poverty by helping at-risk children and families become successful and achieve self-sufficiency.
Primary Interests
Application Procedures
All requests require a completed application form available directly from Newsday Charities. It takes 3-4 months from the date of submission for an application to be decided upon. There is no guarantee of annual support.
Limitations
Grants are not made to individuals, government entities, foundations or other regranting organizations, or for capital fund drives.
The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit Cablevision Systems Corporation or any of its subsidiaries.
