Freedom in the News

Freedom in the News is an e-newsletter that aggregates news stories on the First Amendment and other freedom-related issues. The stories come from a variety of news sources from around the country and the world.

This resource provides educators and students easy access to news stories related to current and controversial issues addressed onboard the Freedom Express. This news helps bring the First Amendment to life for students, by showing them that our rights and freedoms are still debated and discussed today. Freedom in the News also supports the development of news literacy, a skill that prepares young people to become informed and effective participants in civic life.
